Directions: Enter the park from Estes Park at the Beaver Meadows entrance. Make a left onto Bear Creek Road and follow this until you see the Sprague Lake Nature Trail sign and trailhead on the left.
The Sprague Lake Nature Trail is a pleasant .5 mi trail around Sprague Lake. When the weather cooperates the views of the Continental Divide from the lake are spectacular, not so much when I hiked there.... The trail is a mix of paved trail and boardwalk making the trail handicapped accessible but also great for kids and great in the winter for a quick snowshoe or cross-country ski trail. You can also access other trails from here to make a longer trip.
